The album, Will You Find Me, marks Ida’s return to the indie stage after a stunted foray into the world of corporate rock. Their softly haunting harmonies hardly seem suited for mainstream radio anyway. Whether sounding like a toned down Fleetwood Mac, or a beefed up Cat Power, Ida is able to tackle sounding both sparse and lush in a way that doesn’t contradict itself. And the result is simply beautiful.
