This is pure power pop for the Clarks Desert Boot and parka set. I’ve probably listened to the second song, "Detroit Bridge," over 20 times since this arrived in the mail. It’s absolute reckless pop with flailing drums and crashing power chords in the tradition of early Who songs like "Anyway, Anyhow, Anywhere." The next track is called "Always Lit" and has a New Wave keyboard and floor-tom sound that’s straight from Josie Cotton’s appearance as the leader of the prom house band in the movie Valley Girl. The rest of the album melds 60s British Invasion with 80s New Wave perfectly.
